Since opening our doors in 2008, we’ve been committed to helping students pursue a discipline they love. Sohini Sangeet Academy provides a unique and highly personalized method of learning, creating an environment to nurture, educate and encourage creative individuals to achieve the highest level of success.
Today, Sohini Sangeet Academy is the most recognized music academy in Sacramento, California providing classes in North Indian Classical Music.

Pt. Binay Pathak
Pursuing an artistic career is a challenging and exhilarating emotional journey. The Pathak Gharana or lineage, is an illustrious family of Dhrupad singers, Sitar and Surbahar players, one of the important and respected musical families of India.
Pt. Binay Pathak whose musical lineage, from the Pathak Gharana, has existed continuously for over 400 years in India, is an extraordinary classical Indian vocalist, and composer. Pt. Binay has performed in Europe, Asia, and North America and has played in India with many of the great vocalists of Indian Classical music.
At a very young age, he established himself by accompanying eminent artists like Pandit Bhimsen Joshi, Pandit Jasraj, Smt Kishori Amonkar, Begum Parveen Sultana, Pandit Rajan-Sajan Mishra, Ustad Zakir Hussain, Ustad Alla Rakha and many more.
